The Nike Vandal basketball sneaker was originally released in the mid 80´s - very close in design to the Air Force 1 at a time when the Air Force 1 was nearly impossible to find. The Nike Vandal was one of the first all nylon upper high top basketball sneakers which meant they were not only more breathable than traditional leathers but also a good deal lighter.
